This absolutely charming Tuscany villa has been converted from an ancient 17th century water mill. Appropriately named Il Mulino ('The Mill'), this superb villa in Tuscany is surrounded by wooded hills and sits beside a gentle brook that meanders quietly through the valley.

At Il Mulino, you are in the shadow of the picturesque hilltop village of Castel del Piano where you can laze in the village square sipping a morning cappuccino (never ask for a cappuccino in Italy after mid-day!) while watching the world go by.

The villa itself lies on three floors and has been lovingly-renovated using local materials such as traditional Tuscany stone, tiles and wood beam ceilings under a terracotta roof.

As one of our 'Large Family Villas', Il Mulino is beautifully decorated and fully-equipped to sleep nine people comfortably. If you stay during the cooler months, you will benfit from central heating throughout.

External stairs take you to the upper floor where you will find two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen/dining/living area. The ground floor is entered from the patio area directly into the hallway with the remaining three bedrooms off. Internal iron stairs take you down to the lower ground floor accommodation comprising the second kitchen and dining/living rooms and with views across the sloping lawn to the stream below. Double French doors open out onto the lower lawn.

An above ground swimming pool has recently been added for a refreshing swim in those hot Tuscany summer afternoons.
