Il Borghetto is unique. It is a collection of traditional old farming cottages in a small rural community at the end of a long driveway that passes through golden wheat fields and olive groves. Each of these stunningly picturesque apartments has been lovingly restored by the owner and his son over many years to the highest standards of comfort and elegance. All the old original antique features have been retained and restored to give a level of interior design that you would expect to find in a style magazine. Old doors have been renovated and preserved in original form with peeling paint and iron hinges. Old stonework abounds, while original features such as hand-made tiles, wood-beamed ceilings, old fireplaces and stone floors have been retained. The overall effect is simply gorgeous. At the back of the villa is a terraced lawn area, out of view of the front and landscaped with old brick retaining walls and steps. On the high ground, under shading olive trees, is a sparkling swimming pool that feels as refreshing as it looks in the hot Tuscan sun. Beneath these buildings is an old water well and wine cellar with original barrels intact.

You have a choice of five apartments at Il Borghetto (Mangiatoia, Colombaio, Focolare, Frantoio and La Macina), with all but La Macini capable of opening up and joining with the adjacent apartment to form one large apartment ideal for multiple families or large groups of friends.
